How do I select a treatment?

A good starting point is to select the therapy which appeals to you the most. If you have a particular area which you want to focus on you can select therapy on that basis. If you are still unsure please contact us and we'll be happy to discuss the treatments with you.

What happens before a treatment?

You will have a consultation with your therapist before your treatment to establish any specific needs or requirements, and to gather some information from you. This consultation will also give you time to ask your therapist any questions you may have.

All information is kept private and confidential, and is used to provde you with the highest level of service.

You will then have time and privacy to prepare for your treatment.

What happens during a massage treatment? See below for workplace treatments

For a Body massage (Swedish, Hot Stones, Warm Bamboo) you will be asked to undress to your underwear and lie on the couch with towels covering you. We only uncover the part of the body that we are working on, and will cover it again before moving on to the next area to be treated. We use cold pressed oils, and creams that have been pre-blended, and provide all the towels that are needed.

For a full Indian head massage we ask that clients use a wrap that we provide to enable us to work on shoulders and upper arms whilst conserving your dignity.

It is best to wear loose fitting trousers for a Thai foot massage, to allow mobilisation of limbs and massage of the lower legs.

Reflexology has no specific dress requirements.

Reiki is usually preformed fully clothed lying on a couch.

After all treatments you will be offered some water to help speed the elimination of toxins, and you will be given time and privacy to dress.

How will I feel after a treatment?

It is usual to feel relaxed and rejuvenated immediately following a treatment. This is also a good time to ask your therapist any further questions, and to consider any continuation or follow-up treatments.

Workplace treatment

It is usual to have a brief consultation prior to your treatment to ensure that the treatment is maximised.

You will remain fully clothed during your treatment, which will be carried out in a massage chair. There are no oils or creams used during these treatments.
